Ball Cork (Unthreaded)

A ball valve is a device used to regulate the flow water. They are mostly used in irrigation especially in controlling water in hydrants. Ball valves are also common in domestic water supply piping systems and in industries. They mostly come in different sizes from 16mm to as high as 600mm.

Ball valves can either be threaded or unthreaded. Unthreaded are mostly used in pvc piping systems. Here an adhesive is used to bind the pipe and valve. Threaded ball corks are used where the pipe has threads. Here, PTFE sealant is wrapped on the threads, creating a water pipe joint.
